Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is marking a major milestone in the transformation of cancer care across the Border region, with the launch of its first fully public Cancer Specialist Outpatient Clinics commencing, yesterday, Thursday 18 December.

Over the past 24 hours, acts of extreme antisemitic violence have occurred at Bondi Beach, a place recognised around the world as a symbol of openness, diversity and shared community. On the first day of Chanukah, lives have been lost across generations, many more have been seriously injured, and families, communities and first responders are carrying an unimaginable burden.

Albury Wodonga Health today welcomes major investment from the Victorian Government, delivered through the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund (RHIF), to significantly expand renal dialysis services across our region. The project will boost dialysis capacity on both hospital campuses and strengthen support for patients suitable for home-based treatment.

 

A significant milestone in healthcare innovation has been reached, as Albury Wodonga Health introduces digital preparation list management, using the Statewide VicKey platform. This approach is redefining patient care by streamlining waitlist management and enhancing communication. 

The Border’s generosity was on full display today as a sleigh-load of gifts rolled into Albury Hospital, bringing Christmas magic to children spending the holidays in hospital.
