VicKey helps Albury Wodonga Health keep in touch with patients on planned surgery preparation lists.
VicKey is a secure online platform that enables patients to share their health information safely.
Albury Wodonga Health can use this information to guide decisions that support patient care. VicKey is supported by the Victorian Department of Health and used by public health services across Victoria.
Received a VicKey SMS?
Some patients may receive a text message from VicKey with a secure link. This message may ask you to confirm your details or complete a health questionnaire.
VicKey Health Questionnaire Manager
From early October 2026, some Albury Wodonga Health patients may receive an SMS from VicKey asking them to complete a health questionnaire.
The questionnaire asks about your current health. This helps your healthcare team plan your care before your planned surgery or treatment.
The SMS will include a secure link to the VicKey portal. You may be asked to confirm your details and answer some health questions.

How VicKey works
Patients on planned surgery preparation lists may receive an SMS from VicKey.
The SMS may ask you to:
- confirm your details
- confirm your place on the preparation list
- update important health information
- complete a health questionnaire before planned surgery or treatment
Your information is private. It can only be seen by authorised members of your healthcare team.
If you do not respond to the SMS, Albury Wodonga Health may contact you to confirm your details.

If you are unable to complete the questionnaire online, please email ESAU@awh.org.au.
The team will talk you through the next steps. They can also arrange for a paper form to be sent to you.
