VicKey – A new planned surgery preparation list communication solution

VicKey, previously known as the Victorian CRM (MyHospital), is transforming the way Victorian health services manage planned surgery and specialist care preparation lists. Now implemented at Albury Wodonga Health, VicKey enhances patient communication and streamlines the preparation list process.

How VicKey Works

  1. Patients on preparation lists will receive an SMS notification from VicKey, including a secure link to confirm their position on the list or provide essential health information.

  1. Patients can use the VicKey portal to verify their list status. This keeps records accurate while ensuring patient information remains private and accessible only to authorised healthcare providers.

  1. For healthcare services, VicKey automates the auditing process for planned surgery preparation lists, reducing administrative burdens and allowing staff to prioritise patient care.

  1. Patients who don’t respond to initial SMS notifications will receive follow-up messages or calls to confirm their details, ensuring no patient is left behind.
