Hume Access to Care will deliver a new patient flow, access and bed management system called Miya.
Miya will provide a new regional Access and Flow System and Remote Patient Monitoring for all Hume Health Services. Hume Access to Care is being delivered by Hume Rural Health Alliance.
TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION: 7 NOVEMBER 2024
The Miya platform will bring many benefits to AWH, including:
- A real time bed management system that provides visibility of patients and bed availability including:
- Confirmation of bed allocation
- Time beds are ready for patient transfer
- Patient waiting transfer to a different ward or campus
- Visual identification of outlier patients in wards
- Current Length of Stay (LoS)
- Reduced need for bed managers to make phone calls following up bed readiness
- A Flow system that will be available to all wards for access to electronic patient journey board (ePJB)
- Improved display of discharge preparation and tracking including:
- Referral tracking
- Estimated discharge date (EDD) (+/- days)
- Medical and Pharmacy readiness
- Waiting for what (W4W)
- Good to go (G2G)
- Easier ability for Allied Health to view their internal referrals
