Together, we are Albury Wodonga Health. Introducing 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗻 - 𝗔𝗪𝗛 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿
Gina joined Albury Wodonga Health in September 2021, ahead of the AWH Foundation being established in late 2022. The Foundation came together following years of incredible financial support, and the ongoing support of our Albury-Wodonga community wanting to give back our local hospitals.
Hailing from Beechworth, Gina is the vivacious driving force of the Foundation, connecting with individuals and various groups throughout the Border-North East. Her role includes helping to purchase specialised medical equipment and supporting staff training opportunities, to enhance patient comfort and care.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and undergoing life-saving treatment and several surgeries, Gina was motivated to embark on a new career in the health sector. She says she wanted to give back and make the journey easier for other regional people and is incredibly proud to now be in a position to do so every single day.
When it comes to achievements, Gina says raising her two children, Eadie and Max, shines brightly for her. She describes them lovingly, as kind, compassionate, magnificent, and adventurous. (They sound a lot like their mum.)
Her advice for those joining the AWH cohort is to be proud of the contributions you make, act with kindness, laugh lots, and wash your hands.
