With hotter weather comes increased risks.
Snakes are a natural part of our environment, but can be a danger for you and others around.
Here's a few tips on how to stay safe at work, at home, and local contacts for Snake Catchers.
What to do if you see a snake at work.
- Leave it alone, snakes are generally shy and will not attack unless threatened.
- Remove yourself from the area and watch where it goes.
- If it stays within the area call a snake catcher to remove
- Please enter a Riskman via VHIMS Riskman and alert the Safety & Wellbeing team.
What to do if you see a snake at home.
- If the snake is inside, remove all people and pets from the room and close the doors to isolate snake and call snake catcher.
- If outside move away from the area and watch where it goes. If it does not leave the area call a snake catcher.
