This PhD scholarship is part of the ARC Discovery Project "Creating Safer Sport Communities from Rural to Urban Australia" (Safer Sport Project). The scholarship offers flexibility in the focus of the thesis, with the supervisory team ready to work with the successful candidate to finalise the specific research topic. Some possible areas of research include:

  • Rural and regional experiences of gender-based violence in sport
  • The intersectional experiences of priority populations, such as First Nations communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disabilities, or LGBTQI+ communities
  • Place-based interventions to address gender-based violence in sport
