After 29 years at AWH, the ICU also said a sad goodbye to Deidre Ginns. Her career stands as a powerful testament to dedication, compassion, and quiet strength. She has been a constant presence in the most critical moments - a calm and steady force when colleagues, patients and families needed it most. 

Deidre's kindness, gentleness, and thoughtful care has touched countless lives. As a patient advocate, she ensured dignity, safety, and compassion were never compromised. As a team leader and mentor, she guided new nurses with patience and wisdom and set the standard for what it truly means to be an ICU nurse. 

In moments of crisis, her calmness reassured both patients and colleagues alike. Her presences brought confidence, clarity and hope - even in the most challenging circumstances. Her ICU colleagues, who had the privilege of working alongside her for many years, will always treasure her friendship and miss her immensely.  

Thank you, Deidre, for the 29 years of remarkable service, sacrifice and heart. Your impact will be felt long after your final shift and your example with continue to inspire. Wishing her a retirement filled the same peace, kindness and fulfillment you have given so freely to others.
