The Dialysis Unit was established in 1989 at the Wodonga Hospital to provide Haemodialysis treatment to clients in the Albury/Wodonga region. It is located within the Wodonga Hospital and the entrance is in Vermont Street and is a modern, comfortable environment that provides total dialysis care to clients with renal failure.
The Dialysis unit operates in affiliation with Melbourne Health to deliver in-centre treatment to the wider Borer community. Visiting patient enquiries welcome with bookings dependant on service capacity.
There are nine reclining electric chairs, with one television per chair and a selection of cable and commercial TV channels, and a video recorder available for patient entertainment. Patients have access to a number of support services including:
- Nephrologists based locally
- Social Worker
- Hospital Pharmacy
- Pastoral Care
- Community transport services
- Occupational therapy
Address / Building Location The dialysis unit is located at the Wodonga Campus of Albury Wodonga Health. Access is via the Renal Dialysis Entrance in Vermont Street, next to the main entrance of the hospital. Car parking is available in the Community Rehabilitation car park. Staff will provide visitors with a parking permit to display on the dash board of their Vehicle.
