Albury Wodonga Health is incredibly proud of our Special Care Nursery team, who care for premature and sick babies born in our area.

Their work is not just impacting the lives of our community - it's also inspiring change across Australia and around the world. 

Three members of the Albury Wodonga Health Special Care Nursery team recently represented AWH at the Council of International Neonatal Nurses Conference in Darwin, sharing innovative initiatives and research with neonatal professionals from across Australia and internationally.

Lauren Kendrick presented on the transformation of education delivery within the Special Care Nursery, Tess Brown showcased the development of a Neurodevelopmental Round in a regional setting, and Jane Nichol presented research exploring the impact of environmental noise on neonatal development.

"It was an honour to attend and represent AWH at both a national and International Neonatal Conference and have the opportunity to showcase the amazing work that is being undertaken in our regional Special Care Nursery. Whilst we presented our achievements, we also brought back a lot of knowledge and passion to continually improve the Neonatal Care we provide at Albury Wodonga Health's Special Care Nursery," said Jane Nichol, Nurse Unit Manager, Special Care Nursery, Albury Wodonga Health.
