We want to address some of the feedback we've received about our recent update on hospital demand and emergency department wait times.

Firstly, we're sorry. It's clear that our community feels we were blaming our staff for delays in care. That was not our intention, and it's not what we believe.

We know and appreciate that our staff are working incredibly hard under sustained pressures to care for our community and they do a wonderful job.

We were so pleased to have welcomed a new staff cohort to Albury Wodonga Health this week, and are continuing to look for ways to better support them.

We're proud of our staff, grateful for the care they provide every day, and sorry to anyone who felt this wasn't reflected in our communication.

We also want to thank our staff and community for their patience and understanding while our teams continue working hard to provide safe, high-quality care during periods of high demand.
