Celebrating our Allied Health Student Supervisors
Friday, 10 October 2025 / Albury Wodonga Health
This week, Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and Charles Sturt University (CSU) came together to celebrate the incredible contribution of our allied health student supervisors with special morning teas and awards at the Albury and Wodonga campuses.
Every year, AWH welcomes around 100 allied health students across disciplines such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work, dietetics, exercise physiology, podiatry, medical imaging, pharmacy and allied health assistance.
Behind every placement is a supervisor who generously shares their knowledge, time and encouragement.
“Student supervision is deeply embedded in our culture at AWH. It’s a core part of how we continue to grow, learn, and serve our community,” said Megan Tankard Allied Health Education Lead, Occupational Therapy.
“Our supervisors don’t just share their expertise – they help students grow in confidence, find their feet, and go on to make a real difference in our community’s healthcare.”

A strong regional partnership
The celebration also highlighted the partnership between AWH and CSU. Together, the organisations are building strong placement opportunities and developing the capable and compassionate allied health workforce that regional communities rely on.
“Partnerships like this are what make our region such a special place to learn and work,” said Megan Tankard Allied Health Education Lead, Occupational. “It’s about creating a culture where students feel supported, and supervisors know how valued they are.”
