We are really excited that you are about to commence a clinical placement with us!

 

Aim

Our aim is to provide you with many learning opportunities and experiences to help promote your professional development. Throughout the duration of your placement, our educators, supervisors and preceptors will ensure you are supported and respected. Most of all, we hope you enjoy your placement at AWH and find it a personally and professionally rewarding experience.

ALL Undergraduate Students (nursing, midwifery, allied health, pharmacy, radiology) are required to complete the online orientation program prior to commencing clinical placement at Albury Wodonga Health. The orientation package will provide generic information related to your placement.

Compulsory pre-placement requirements

  1. Complete the orientation package - CLICK HERE TO START THE ORIENTATION PACKAGE  
  2. Submit all of the requested orientation documents (as included in the above Orientation Package) to your Education Provider at least 4 weeks prior to commencing placement.

Student Support Programs

1. Going Rural - Access student support programs, including information on student accommodation, financial assistance for clinical placements, online learning and other activities at www.goingruralhealth.com.au

2. RWAV (Rural Workforce Agency Victoria) - Rural Clinical Placement Grants for students studying at Victorian universities. See website for details, please note students will now be required to apply for the grant BEFORE commencement of the clinical placement.  www.rwav.com.au/future-workforce/scholarships/

 

At the completion of placement

All nursing and allied health students - please complete the following post placement student survey. Please complete this on your last day of placement (or a day close to this).
