About Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)

AWH serves as the largest regional healthcare provider between Sydney and Melbourne, situated in the border cities of Albury and Wodonga. With a dedicated team of over 3000 professionals, which includes around 250 volunteers working across 15+ volunteer activities, we proudly service a population of up to 300,000 across North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, surgical, women’s and children’s, community, mental health allied health, and sub-acute services. Our growth continues with the opening of a state-of-the-art Emergency Department in 2024, and excitingly, the construction of a new hospital at our Albury site by 2028. The expansion will greatly elevate our ability to service the needs of our community, and we need a great team of volunteers, like you, to accomplish this!=

Campaign Crew volunteers at Albury Wodonga Health play a vital role in both fundraising efforts and strengthening the hospital's connections within the community. Their contributions are invaluable in making sure that the hospital’s campaigns are effective and well-received by the community.

These volunteers engage in various tasks that directly support hospital programs, such as assisting at both internal and external events like expos, markets, fairs and special celebrations. They help raise awareness, engage attendees, and promote the hospital's initiatives. Volunteers may also distribute newsletters or health promotion campaign materials, ensuring the public stays informed about important health services/topics, events, or fundraising efforts. By writing thank-you cards or making calls to donors, volunteers help to maintain relationships and show appreciation, fostering a continued spirit of giving.

Furthermore, Campaign Crew volunteers play a key role in selling or promoting raffle tickets, managing coin boxes, and assisting with targeted campaigns like the Patient Giving Campaign. These activities allow volunteers to actively engage with the community while generating much-needed funds. Volunteers also assist with research on potential grants, philanthropic funds, and donors/sponsors, helping the hospital to expand its financial resources and find new avenues of support.
