Albury Wodonga Health’s Stomal Therapy Service is situated at Albury Community Health.  The Stomal Therapy service supports the delivery of patient care within the Albury Wodonga area including the Acute, Primary and community settings.

Our qualified Stomal Therapy Nurses provide a specialised consulting service and can help you adjust to living with either a permanent or temporary stoma (an artificial opening to the outside of the body used for feeding or drainage), be it a colostomy, ileostomy, gastrostomy or urostomy.  This includes pre-operative counselling, immediate post-operative care and education and follow-up assessment and counselling following patient discharge. 

Referral Pathway:
No medical referral needed.  Anyone can make a referral to this service including all healthcare professionals, you or your carer.
