Returning for another year of fun, fitness, and fundraising, the SS&A City2City will again bring thousands of people onto the streets of Albury and Wodonga, with organisers aiming to build on the momentum of the 2026 event, which attracted 3,025 people, and raised more than $154,00 for Allied Health.

For the first time in the event’s history, participants will be able to tackle a 21.1km Half Marathon, joining the popular 10km, 7.5km and Walk & Talk distances.

Albury Wodonga Health CEO, Susan Delroi, said she was looking forward to participating in one of the region’s most loved community events.

“The SS&A City2City is about so much more than crossing a finish line,” Ms Delroi said.

“It’s a chance to get active, connect with others and support health services for our community.”

“Whether you are walking with your family, chasing a personal best, volunteering or rallying a workplace team, there is a place for everyone at the SS&A City2City.”

This year’s event will raise funds for Albury Wodonga Health Mental Health Services, helping enhance inpatient and community mental health environments across the region.

Dannielle McLeish, Albury Wodonga Health Area Director, Mental Health, Wellbeing and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), said the community support would help create spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable and therapeutic for people accessing mental health care.

“Mental health touches every community and every family in some way”, Ms McLeish said,

The spaces where people receive care can have a significant impact on how supported, comfortable and connected people feel,” Ms McLeish said.

“The support generated through the SS&A City2City will help refurbish and refresh the environments where people receive care, while also helping start important conversations about mental health and wellbeing”, she added.

Businesses across the Border are also being invited to take part in a new CEO Workplace Challenge.

Local CEOs and senior leaders will be encouraged to register workplace teams, accept the challenge on social media and nominate another CEO or organisation to get involved, creating a chain reaction of local workplaces moving together for a common cause.

Returning MC Kylie King will once again bring participants across the finish line, joined this year by Ben Hollands, who brings a strong personal passion for mental health and wellbeing to the event.

“There is something really special about the SS&A City2City morning. You see families, serious runners, workmates and people who have never entered an event before all sharing the same course,” Ms King said.

“Mental health is something I care deeply about, so to be part of an event that brings thousands of people together while also supporting local mental health services is really special”, Mr Hollands added.

Registrations for the SS&A City2City RunWalk 2027 are now open, with limited Early Bird pricing available for the first 250 participants.
