Community Rehabilitation is offered at both Albury and Wodonga Hospitals, and are part of the care provided within the Health Independence Program (HIP). 

Community Rehabilitation provides short term sub-acute rehabilitation for clients who have had a recent medical event or hospitalisation and have functional goals to be achieved. This is a client-centred program where clients, carers and families are supported to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Community Rehabilitation provides interdisciplinary therapy in the centre or within the client’s home and local community. Clients can access individual therapy sessions and/or a range of group programs to achieve their goals.

The following services operate within Community Rehabilitation at both Albury and Wodonga sites unless otherwise indicated:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Exercise Rehabilitation Group (Wodonga)
  • Falls Prevention Service including the Falls and Balance Group
  • General Rehabilitation
  • Hand Therapy and Upper Limb Program
  • Lymphoedema  Service
  • Neurological Rehabilitation (Albury and Wodonga) including Acquired Brain Injury (Wodonga)
  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation
