SANTA handed out gifts and there was plenty of food and drink to share at the annual celebratory reunion for former patients of the Albury Wodonga Health - Wodonga Campus's inpatient rehabilitation program.

Program manager Marie Marotta said the Christmas party brought together staff with people who had benefited from the program this year.

Ms Marotta said 100 people had been helped by the program this year, including those who had suffered strokes, had orthopedic surgery, long hospital stays or injury.

She said the rehabilitation team had helped people to regain their function and their confidence and return home with increased independence and support services as required.

Ms Marotta said the rehabilitation program comprised a rehabilitation specialist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker, dietitian, nurses and speech pathologist.
