Aboriginal Liaison Officer - Adult Mental Health

Applications are now being sought from interested people for the position of Aboriginal Liaison Officer (Spiritual and Emotional Wellbeing).  This is a unique opportunity to participate with the mental health service in continuing to assist the Aboriginal community access mental health services.

As ALO, the role is focussed on:

•  Improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people's access to the Area Mental Health services;

•  Improving the experience and outcomes for ATSI people and their families who utilise the Area Mental Health Service;

•  Improving community awareness of enhanced effective mental health and wellbeing; and

•  Contribute to effective networking between North East Victorian Mental Health Services, the local ATSI communities and other mainstream agencies.
