Full Time – RN Grade 5 or equivalent
We are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable and experienced health professional who is capable of managing the Wodonga Regional Health Service Quality and Risk Programs. The successful person will report directly to the CEO and will work collaboratively with executive and senior staff to further develop the organisation’s quality and risk programs. The Quality and Risk Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the organisation’s accreditation process working internally across the organisation to ensure health care standards are met. The role also works with various external agencies in meeting organisational requirements for health care quality and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to positively influence the systems of care and service provision, and to improve the quality and safety of care and services provided by the health service.
Selection Criteria:
· Demonstrates a sound understanding of Quality Concepts.
· Possesses a sound understanding and knowledge of Risk Management Principles.
· Demonstrates a broad clinical background and holds a relevant health qualification.
· Possesses current knowledge of health care accreditation systems.
· Proven ability to provide leadership and coordination within a multidisciplinary environment.
· Demonstrated high level organisational ability including the ability to set priorities and achieve results, to work autonomously and meet deadlines, to work in a highly functional outcome focused team.
· Possess high level communication and interpersonal skills showing initiative and enthusiasm in providing consultation relating to Quality, Risk and/or Accreditation Programs.
· Ability to develop and implement initiatives that will promote continuous quality improvement and facilitate the achievement of accreditation programs (eg: ACHS EQuIP), and meet DHS or VMIA requirements for quality and risk management in Public Victorian Healthcare Organisations.
· Possess well developed analytical and planning skills.
· Proven ability to manage complex information systems and facilitate engagement of relevant individuals and groups within the organisation to participate in the development or ongoing management of that system.
· Posses an understanding of the role of policy and procedure documents within a health care service.
