Rural Allied Health Team

The AWH Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT) based at Wodonga, has a vacancy for an experienced Occupational Therapist. This position is part of a large multidisciplinary team that includes a total of 3 OT's. The Wodonga Campus employs a total of 7.5 FTE clinical OT's.
The RAHT provides outreach services to the communities of Wodonga, Indigo and Towong Shires and the Kiewa Valley. It is Home and Community Care funded, focusing on the aged and disabled client groups and their carers.
The team provides occupational therapy, physiotherapy, continence nursing, speech pathology, dietetics / nutrition and podiatry services to individuals, groups and other agencies.
The team enjoys excellent collaborative relationships with other service providers within the catchment area. Service provision utilises restorative and adaptive approaches to health.
The client caseload is varied and provides a mix of challenges and opportunities.
The successful applicant will have excellent clinical skills, extensive experience relevant to the target client group and a commitment to evidence based practice.
They will also have a role in the supervision of junior staff and undergraduate students.
