HR Support Officer - Payroll Clerk

Full-time

Wodonga Regional Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated person to be trained to meet the demands of the above position within the Human Resources/Payroll Department.

Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for assisting with the processing of the Health Service’s payroll for up to approx. 700 staff.  This position will also be responsible for providing administrative/clerical assistance to both the Human Resource Manager and the Payroll/Administrative Services Manager.  The successful applicant must be customer focussed and be able to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks.

Key Selection Criteria:

Proven clerical/administrative ability with excellent computer skills within the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word and Excel esp.), data entry skills and attention to detail;

  • ability to work in a small team environment and semi-autonomously;
  • highly developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities; and
  • well developed interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).

It is highly desirable, although not essential, that the successful applicant will possess some or all of the following:

· experience with Payroll systems within a medium to large organisation (PayGlobal would be a distinct advantage);

· demonstrated ability to interpret and apply industrial awards and enterprise bargaining agreements; and

· previous experience in an HR support role.
