Patient Transport Dispatch Officer

ALBURY HOSPITAL

 Temporary Full time (Maternity Leave Relief)
Administrative Officer Level 4

 

The role of this position is to receive and respond to calls from facilities for patient transport and to arrange timely and cost efficient patient transport in accordance with AWH Patient Transport Policies and Procedures.  The position is also responsible for maintaining databases, monitoring the whereabouts of patient transport vehicles, maintaining close liaison between sending and receiving facilities, patient transport officers/drivers and Nurse Escorts to ensure effectiveness of the service. The successful applicant will provide assistance to and deputise for the Support Services Manager as required.
