Wodonga Regional Health Service is seeking a new CEO to take on this exciting and challenging leadership role. The CEO will be responsible for the Health Service’s ongoing service development, operational and financial performance and will provide the interface between the Board of Management, staff and the community.
The Health Service is a 133 bed ACHS Accredited Victorian public hospital with a budget of $60m and 650 staff, servicing a regional catchment of over 200,000 people in North-East Victoria and Southern New South Wales.
As part of the Health Albury Wodonga agreement the CEO will play a pivotal strategic role in collaborating with all stakeholders to lead the agency through the amalgamation process with its NSW Southern Region Counterparts
The Albury-Wodonga region provides attractive lifestyle opportunities with its location on the Murray River and proximity to the Victorian snowfields and wine regions. With a local population of 100,000, Albury-Wodonga provides all the advantages and infrastructure of a large provincial city combined with a rural lifestyle.
The CEO role provides executive leadership, operational management and direction towards achievement of the Health Service’s Objectives and Strategic Directions. The person we are seeking will demonstrate:
- Executive management experience in a hospital-based health service
- The ability to manage financial, human and physical assets
- Highly developed relationship building and management skills and be able to communicate effectively in a range of contexts
- An understanding of community and contemporary health issues
- Proven leadership and change management abilities
