Clinical Support Nurse Grade 3B

Maternity Unit

(Student Midwife and Graduate Midwife Program Clinical Facilitator)

 Permanent Part-time 48 hours Fortnight (0.6 EFT)

 

The Clinical Support Nurse will be responsible for planning Student Midwives and Graduate Midwives rotations and rosters and for supervising, supporting and providing tutorials within the Midwifery clinical setting. Providing timely feedback about performance, managing performance and conducting debriefing and tutorial sessions with students and graduates in the Maternity Unit will be a requirement of this position. The Clinical Support Nurse is also responsible for conducting written assessments and liaising with the education providers with regard to student's performance.

 

Applicants must have current experience within the Nursing and Midwifery clinical domain and be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing education. The current minimum qualification required is Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment. The Maternity Unit Clinical Support Nurse reports to the Deputy Director of Nursing Maternity Services and works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager of the Maternity Unit and the Hospital and Maternity Unit clinical support staff.

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the relevant health industry award (equivalent to Grade 3 Nurses (Victorian Public Health Sector) Multiple Business Agreement 2007-2011) and access to salary packaging is available.
