Due to the lateral career move of the current incumbent, the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) position has recently become vacant.  The NUM is responsible for ensuring the development and maintenance of care standards by providing strong leadership and role modelling to staff.  The NUM coordinates the day to day Unit operation, human and material resources, budget formulation and analysis, OH&S and Risk Management, Customer and employee relations, personal influence and professional credibility.  The NUM is an integral part of the health care team and utilises the practice of nursing to deliver quality patient care, reflecting Best Practice guidelines and professional standards.

Remuneration will be at the Nurse Manager Grade 2 classification with other terms and conditions consistent with the NSW Public Health System Nurses& Midwives (State) Award.
