Social Work/Occupational Therapy
Northeast Health Wangaratta and Albury Wodonga Health Service as members of North East Victoria Mental Health Services provide a full time comprehensive program across all fields of psychiatry for a local allied health graduate. The graduate will rotate through the following mental health areas during the year: Psychiatry of Old Age, Acute In-patient and Adult Community Mental Health, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
A supervisor from the appropriate discipline will provide support and clinical supervision across the year with preceptors available in each placement area. In addition we are aiming to link with the Allied Health Graduate Program developed across a cluster of mental health services including St Vincents Hospital, Austin Health, Eastern Health. The graduate will have the opportunity to attend mental health study days provided by the cluster. Supportive links will be fostered and maintained with the relevant Tertiary Institution.
We are looking for a graduate who is enthusiastic, energetic and keen to gain knowledge and experience in mental health. The successful applicant will have good communication and organisational skills and a flexible approach to learning.
Remuneration will be at the appropriate professional entry level. The successful applicant will be an employee of Northeast Health Wangaratta.
