Kids Early Action Programme in Schools (KEAPS)
Full time permanent clinical position
KEAPS is an early intervention programme (CASEA Statewide) for children in grades prep to 3 who are identified as developing challenging behaviours. It works in close partnership with the education sector in the Eastern Hume region, to provide universal and targeted group interventions to children and their families, and consultation and support to their teachers.
We are looking for enthusiastic clinician (Psychiatric Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists) with experience in the delivery of group programmes to children and parents, knowledge of the management of challenging behaviours and the capacity to engage effectively with a range of education and community personnel. The programme is committed to rigorous evaluation in conjunction with similar programmes in the state.
Registration as a psychologist with psychologist registration board of Victoria, eligibility for membership of AASW or AAOT, or registration with the Victorian Nurses Board is required.
Salary and conditions for both positions will be consistent with the appropriate Hospital Award and negotiable according to qualifications and experience.
