Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) Wodonga Hospital (WH) has positions available for Registered Nurses interested in completing their Graduate Diploma in Midwifery.
- 12 month program, two intakes annually of up to 6 students each.
- Provided externally through Charles Sturt University (CSU), Wagga Campus. CSU offer Commonwealth Supported Places.
- Students are employed part time (four days per week) whilst studying.
- Wodonga Hospital offers 2 scholarships annually to the value of $2500 each.
- Post Graduate Study Leave to attend mandatory residential school.
- Dedicated Midwifery Student Midwife Educator and Clinical Support nurse.
- Eight weeks paid supernumerary time to enable the student to fulfil the clinical requirements.
- Salary and conditions in accordance with the Nurses (Victorian Public Health Sector) Multiple Business agreement 2007-2011.
Requirements for applicants:
- Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Completion of graduate year is a minimum requirement.
- Cover letter.
- Current CV which includes 3 current acute nursing referees.
- Wodonga Hospital Application for Employment Form available from the previous page (www.awh.org.au/employment)
- Current and valid Victorian national Police Check and a Victorian Working With Children Card (Employment).
- Successful applicants are required to pass all elements of the course in order to remain within the program.
- Applicants need to be available for interview in late September 2010.
