This is a Cross Border Appointment
Interested applicants should possess a sound understanding and application of legislation pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Workers'/Accident Compensation applicable in the states of Victoria and New South Wales. We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record with Claims Management and the best possible positive outcomes for all parties affected by workplace injuries.
In conjunction with the Director of Human Resources (HRD), Senior Management and Departmental Heads, the successful applicant will be required to (but not limited to):
1. Maintain AWH OH&S and Injury Management Policies and Procedures to ensure a safe working environment and safe working practices within all AWH facilities.
2. Assist the HRD in the development of OH&S business plans consistent with the overall strategies as identified by the Corporate Support Business Plan.
3. Deliver an efficient and effective OH&S and Injury Management service to all Employees and Managers of Albury Wodonga Health.
4. Implement Injury Management strategies designed to reduce the duration, cost and impact of Workers' Compensation claims and in turn reduce Workers' Compensation premiums for each of the health services policies.
5. Proactively manage existing Workers' Compensation claims to progress individual return to work or pursue other outcomes consistent with the intent of the relevant Accident Compensation Acts in each state (Victoria and NSW).
