Applications are invited from suitably qualified Registered Nurses & Midwives who have a keen desire to further their career in Midwifery within the AWH Maternity Unit.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for suitably qualified midwives to be part of the ongoing development of clinical services across Albury Wodonga Health. The positions will require the successful applicants to be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with relevant extensive experience in maternity nursing in the clinical setting.
The ANUM positions will provide clinical leadership encompassing coordination and clinical practice, education and some management responsibilities. The successful applicants will assist and support the Deputy Director on Nursing, Maternity Services and the Nurse Manager of the Maternity Unit in planning and development of clinical services in the Maternity setting within Albury Wodonga Health.
Associate Nurse Managers will be responsible for supporting Maternity Unit staff in the clinical setting, fulfil portfolio requirements and have a close working relationship with the Deputy Director of Nursing, Maternity Services, Nurse Manager, Clinical Midwife Consultant and Clinical Support Nurse.
Successful applicants must be able to work across all Maternity Unit streams including antenatal, birth suite, postnatal and special care nursery domains to ensure work demands are able to be accommodated and staff adaptability meets the changing requirements of the Maternity Unit.

Suitable applicants will be highly motivated and possess:
· Qualifications in Nursing and Midwifery with relevant recent experience of no less than 5 years in the Maternity/Midwifery setting.
· Postgraduate study and/or evidence of ongoing learning and professional development.
· Proactive approach to Midwifery practice and improving Maternity Services, Maternity Care and supporting, mentoring and education of staff.
· Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Proven participation in quality initiatives.
· Understanding of the importance of contemporary midwifery practice.
· Skills in data gathering and analysis.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to staff at all levels.
· Experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Ability and willingness for flexible work hours as per a rotating roster.
