Receptionist Clerk - Medical Clinic

PART-TIME 

Monday to Friday 08:45 – 17:15

 10 shifts per four week roster

 (Total 80 hours per roster)

This is a busy position and requires excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.  It is highly desirable that the successful applicant have previous experience working in a General Practice/Medical Clinic.

A demonstrated ability in computing is essential, with experience in electronic appointment scheduling & billing. Software packages currently used include Pro Medicus and Microsoft Office.

Flexibility with working hours will be required to ensure coverage during periods of leave.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Ability to work within a team structure in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated competence in dealing with the public and sound communication skills.
  • Proven clerical/administration ability with excellent attention to detail, keyboarding and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues and of OH &S legislation as it relates to “Employee” and “Employer” responsibilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement initiatives of continuous quality improvement within the Employee’s designated area of work with a demonstrated customer focussed approach to service delivery.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development when required and the willingness to participate in Department/Ward Performance Management (Review) programs.
  • Awareness and understanding of Infection Control principles as they relate to the positions designated area of work.
