Occupational Therapist - Grade 1 (Permanent Full Time)

Wodonga Campus of Albury Wodonga Health seeks to appoint a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist for our Allied Health Programs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a range of clinical areas whilst working with Grade 2 Occupational Therapy staff.

Our Grade 1 Occupational Therapists currently rotate through;

  • Acute wards – Medical, Surgical, Emergency Department
  • Community Rehabilitation service (home & centre based)
  • Community -  Home And Community Care (HACC)

Opportunities to work in other areas and to develop broad based non clinical skills do arise from time to time.

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (OT) or equivalent qualifications
  • Eligibility for membership of AAOT and AccOT
  • Motor Vehicle Licence.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and skills in acute practice, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently in a cooperative and collaborative manner, commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, evidence based practice and quality improvement.

An understanding of and interest in aged care is desirable.

Salary and conditions of employment will be according to the Health Professional Services Award and include salary packaging.
