1. 12 month Maternity Leave Locum 1.0eft – Inpatient Rehabilitation

2. Permanent Position 1.0eft (negotiable) – Community Rehabilitation

 

We are currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our Allied Health Programs. Successful applicants will be responsible for the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within a multidisciplinary team within our Rehabilitation Programs, and play an active role in the ongoing development of these services.

The successful applicants will have:

* Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation

* Experience in staff supervision

* Commitment to evidence based practice

*Ability to work independently& in a collaborative manner.

Essential:

Bachelor of Applied Science (OT) or equivalent qualifications

Eligibility for membership of AAOT and Acc OT

Current valid Motor Vehicle Licence

The Occupational Therapy department is currently staffed by 9 Occupational Therapists. These staff work across most of the Allied Health Programs; Acute, Community Rehabilitation, HACC Rural Allied Health Team and Inpatient rehabilitation. We have a structured supervision system for our Grade 1 staff, and each Grade 2 plays a role in the provision of this supervision. Within our senior therapists there is an informal system for supervision, with an as needed approach. The Occupational Therapy service has a communication structure that provides professional development and support.

The Occupational Therapists get together weekly for a Departmental meeting.  This meeting time is structured to include in-servicing, business, and quality activities.  Once monthly there is also an Allied Health Meeting.
