A permanent full time opportunity has arisen within the Human Resources (HR) Department of the health service. This exciting new role will suit an enthusiastic candidate looking to broaden their range of experiences and the scope of their role. Responsibilities will include:
· Undertake calculation of weekly earnings for employees in receipt of, or eligible for weekly workers' compensation payments in accordance Vic and NSW legislation and Awards/Enterprise Agreements
· Undertake timely processing of weekly wage reimbursements to the respective Workers' Compensation Insurers/Agents of AWH
· Prepare invoices/accounts received for Workers Compensation claims of AWH employees for processing by Accounts Payable or forwarding to our respective Insurers/Agents as appropriate
· Responsible for the administration of claims paperwork (both new and existing) under both the NSW and Victorian Accident Compensation systems
· In conjunction with the HR Assistant, provide an administrative support service to the Human Resources Team
· Assist with the processing of job applications in accordance with the recruitment processes in place at the time, including the provision of general recruitment advice to applicants or potential applicants.
Skills and abilities needed to be possessed by the preferred candidate for this position will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
· Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
· Well developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Previous experience in the calculation of weekly payment entitlements in accordance with NSW and/or Victorian Accident compensation legislation and relevant Industrial Awards/Agreements.
· Previous experience in administering/processing Workers' Compensation claims and coordinating weekly wage reimbursements.
· Highly developed computer and keyboard skills using the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Salary and conditions of employment are as per The Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers') Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2009-2011.
