An experienced podiatrist is required to deliver an excellent podiatry service at Wodonga Campus of Albury Wodonga Health.
The podiatrist is part of the Home and Community Care (HACC) and Community Health teams and provides outpatient services both in Wodonga and outreach clinics in smaller communities.
Podiatry clinics are set up in each site and a range of clinical services provided. These include diabetes foot assessments, ulcer treatment, general treatment, paediatrics, orthotic therapy and nail surgery. Health promotion involving various community groups is also part of the podiatrist's role.
There is excellent administrative support provided for the podiatry department, with an effective demand management system in place.
As part of the HACC funded Rural Allied Health and Community Health Teams, the podiatrist is involved with various relevant meetings and professional development.
The Podiatry department has been involved with undergraduate student placements for a number of years.
