Allied Health Assistant

WODONGA CAMPUS

 Qualified

28 hours per week - permanent

 

AWH Wodonga Campus is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for this position within our Rehabilitation programs.

 

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Allied Health professional staff. They will have relevant qualifications and experience, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team, ability to support people in the acquisition of new skills and sound computer skills.

 

The work provides a mix of challenges and opportunities. The AHA works with clients individually and in groups, providing therapy and education, assisting with ADL's, equipment management and assisting with the maintenance and management of therapy resources.

 

We currently have 5 Allied Health Assistants. The AHA team support each other, and are well supported by allied health clinicians, particularly in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.

 

Rotations may include inpatient rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, transition care and community health.

Required: A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or qualification as a Division 2 Nurse is necessary.

 

Salaries and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Health & Allied Services, Administrative Officers – Victorian Public Sector 2009 – 2011 Agreement

 

The successful candidate's rostered hours of work will fall between 7.30am and 7.00pm weekdays and will involve some Saturday work.
